HARGROVE ENGINEERS SPECIFIES SENTRY EQUIPMENT

Hargrove Engineering chose Criterion Controls to build 6 sampling systems in enclosures for the Chevron Naphtha Processing Project.  Criterion Controls and Sentry Equipment have partnered together to provide designs engineering, production and installation assistance to support this $100K plus opportunity.

BRUNSWICK CELLULOSE UPGRADES ALL PLANT CEMS

Thermo Fisher Environmental just received an order for 20 new analyzers for the measurement of NOx, CO/CO2, SO2 and O2 at the mill.  These new series iQ analyzers represents a significant improvement over the older analog versions and has given the plant increased communication and troubleshooting capabilities.  A BIG thank you to our regional manager Bob Hart for all his work on our behalf.

SABICS PLASTICS INSTALLS SERVOMEX
January 20, 2022
Sabic Plastics once again chose Servomex for the measurement of their brine moisture in chlorine analysis.  Working together with KBR Engineering out of Houston, TX we once again successfully integrated the Servomex Model 2500 NDIR analyzer for the critical moisture measurement in the chlorine plant.  This 1 million US dollar installation represents the fifth Model 2500 system installed at the facility.

CHEVRON REFINING INSTALLS O’BRIEN ENCLOSURES
August 15, 2021

After a lengthy review Chevron Refining in Pascagoula, MS decided to install 17 O’Brien weatherized enclosure systems for there draft pressure transmitters in one of there cracking units. This purchase represents a $62K investment and is the single largest O’Brien project awarded to Criterion Controls to date.


ALLIANCE SOURCE TESTING CHOOSES THERMO FISHER

Alliance Source Testing in Decatur, AL has chosen to purchase six Thermo Fisher 55i hydrocarbon analyzers as they continue to expand their fleet of stack testing trailers around the country. We have been associated with Alliance Source Testing for over 10 years and are committed to continuing after sales training and support as they continue their phenomenal growth projectory. We would like to acknowledge our regional manager Jeff Marincic for his continued support and confidence in our organization. His assistance and guidance through the years has proven invaluable to our success at representing Thermo Fisher.


TRONOX CHEMICALS SELECTS SERVOMEX ANALYTICAL

January 8, 2021

Tronox Chemicals in Hamilton, MS has chosen to use two Servomex Servotough SpectraExact Analyzers for the critical chlorine measurement in the manufacture of Titanium Dioxide pigment. These two process analyzer systems, including commissioning, represents in excess of $100K in sales. Once again, Doug Hicks our Regional Manager, with his product knowledge and quote support proved invaluable to the success of winning this opportunity.

Our highest priority throughout the year was to protect the health and well-being of our employees, channel partners, customers, friends and family. Though we have missed sorely all the face to face meetings with customers and channel partners we are confident in our ability to conform our business model to continue the high level of after sales support we have become known for. 2020 was a challenging year for all American families and business’s. It is our hope and prayer that together we will overcome the challenges of the past and approach 2021 with excitement and enthusiasm. Thank you for the past 16 wonderful years of supplying instrumentation, sensors, and analyzers to the industrial marketplace. May the new year bring clarity where there is confusion and comfort where there is heartache.


STATE OF ALABAMA CERTIFIES CRITERION CONTROLS

December 10, 2020

After several months of intense effort Criterion Controls is now an approved vendor with the State of Alabama. Our new status as a STARRS certified vendor will enable our company to bid on projects and applications that are only available to approved vendors. Our effort paid off quickly with the award of a Thermo Fisher 2025i particulate analyzer for the Montgomery area.


SYNOVOS PLASTICS CHOOSES SERVOMEX ANALYTICAL

Synovos Plastics in Burkville, AL has chosen the Servomex Servotough FlueGas Exact Analyzer as the new combustion analyzer for use on all flue gas measurements. After struggling for years with several competitive insitu analyzer manufacturers they have decided that the Servomex close-coupled flue gas analyzer, with its ease of service and long lasting sensor will reduce there maintenance time and cost on this demanding application. A big “Thank You” goes out to our regional sales manager Doug Hicks on his tireless effort and securing this order.

SENTRY EQUIPMENT APPOINTS NEW REGIONAL MANAGER

We welcome the addition of Colin Anderson as our new Regional Sales Manager in the Southeast. Colin has been with Sentry Equipment for several years working in the bulk solids division of the company. Colin is well versed in process sampling systems and heat exchangers and we look forward to his expertise in the territory. We wish our past regional sales manager (Derek Lindsey) all the best as he transitions into a new and exciting career path in another industry segment. Derek’s vast knowledge and past support has been a Godsend for Criterion Controls and he will be sorely missed.


SHELL CHEMICAL SELECTS SENTRY EQUIPMENT COBRA SAMPLERS

November 2, 2019

After an extensive evaluation of suppliers Shell Chemical has chosen Criterion Controls to supply 12 process samplers for H2S sampling. Fast response from Sentry Equipment along with a willingness to customize a sampler for Shell’s particular requirements led to the successful award of 12 detector tube samplers and 1 cylinder sampler. Special thanks to Colin Anderson, Derek Lindsey and Valdo DeLaGarza for their support and hard work on securing this project.


THERMO FISHER PROMOTES CHRISTINA HORNER

After many years of working together in the Environmental & Process Division of Thermo Fisher; Christina Horner has been promoted to the National Sales Director position within the Thermo Fisher Water Purity Group. We wish her all the best in this new endeavor. EPD divisional manager Jeff Marincic is assuming responsibility for the day to day management of the southeast territory. With Jeff’s vast knowledge of Thermo Fisher analyzers we anticipate a seamless transition and continued superior support for the customers in our territory.

PLASTICS MANUFACTURER CHOOSES SERVOMEX
April 15, 2019

A major plastics manufacturer located in the Montgomery, AL area chose Servomex as the preferred supplier for their critical wet chlorine measurement. Servomex supplied the Model 2500 SpectraExact, in a heated enclosure with all Hastelloy wetted components. Total system cost was $136,000.00 and was purchased under a service agreement for installation startup and commissioning.

CANTY PROCESS SYSTEMS CHOOSES CRITERION CONTROLS

Canty Process Systems and Criterion Controls have entered into an exclusive agreement for representation of their product line for the states of Alabama and the Florida panhandle. Canty has been in business since 1977 and specializes in vessel monitoring equipment. They currently manufacture lighting, cameras, sight flow indicators, quick opening closures, glass to metal seals and particle sizing systems.

ARGOS CEMENT CHOOSES FTIR CEMS FROM THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC

Argos Cement Company in Calera, AL has chosen the Thermo Fisher FTIR CEMS for the measurement of Hydrogen Chloride in the cement kiln for compliance of the National Emissions Standard 40 CFR 60 and 63 from the Environmental Protection Agency. This was truly a team effort between Criterion Controls and the sales team from Thermo Scientific. We appreciate the vast effort put forth by our regional manager Christina Horner that led to the successful conclusion of the first HCl CEMS in our territory.

HARGROVE ENGINEERS SELECTS CRITERION CONTROLS FOR CHEVRON FLARE PROJECT

Criterion Controls has been selected by Hargrove Engineers to supply all the total sulfur analyzers, process sample probes and heated gas sample transport lines for the Chevron flare gas project. The requirement to meet the new EPA subpart Ja rule for flare gas emissions has warranted the upgrade on 4 existing flare gas lines and new installation on 2 flare gas lines to monitor for total sulfur emissions during a flaring event. We would like to thank Don Rodriguez, Kirk Mankin and Seth Morrell for all their assistance in providing the proper equipment to meet the customers’ expectations.

Quest-Tec Solutions has selected Criterion Controls, Inc. as there exclusive sales representative for the states of Mississippi and northern Alabama. On September 27, 2001 Daniel Measurement and Controls sold the rights to the engineering and manufacturing of their liquid level gage and valve product lines to Quest-Tec Solutions. Quest-Tec Solution manufactures magnetic level indicators, liquid level gages, sight glasses, steam level indicators and valves.

Jameson Corporation and Criterion Controls, Inc. sign distribution agreement to handle their Construction and Maintenance Tool products. Jameson has been manufacturing tools for telecommunications, contractors, tree care, CATV and power utilities since 1956.
